June 4th 2011 Feuerengel &
Rush photos
Today I've updated the
website with photos from Feuerengel &
Rush. Due to some circumstances I
didn't had the
change to update Rockpics earlier, due to the same circumstances I had to
miss several concerts. I hope to catch
up in the second half of 2011.
But as said. Rockpics has been updated with the following galleries
Enjoy watching the photos and keep posted ;-)!! _________________________________________________________________________________________________
January 9th 2011 Non-Divine @
Doornroosje, Nijmegen
My 2011 concert year
started early this year! In the first week of 2011 I went to see my
friends of
Non-Divine. Non-
Divine played in the Doornroosje venue in Nijmegen. The Non-Divine guys
played a great, but unfortunately a short
show.
In 2010 I've visited three more
Feuerengel shows. Photos of the
Hardenberg (05.11.2010) & Bochum (06.11.2010)
shows can be found exclusively on
www.feuerengel.de
The third show was the Bremen 'surprise' show and I only made some videos
of this show. These videos can be found
here.
The most special song of this night was the song for Matthias Arp....

it's been a while...
It’s been a while since the latest update. The main reason for that is
that I moved out ;-).
Now everything is back to normal, so we are ready to rock on 2011.
I want to wish you all a very merry Christmas and all the best for
2011!
I hope to see you all next year again!

Dream Evil & Hail of Bullets @ Elsrock 2010 live
Elsrock is the only
good metal festival in the Netherlands at this moment and one of my
favorite bands (DREAM
EVIL)
was playing so we went to Elsrock.
Line-up:
Hypocrisy
Napalm Death
Agnostic Front
Lizzy Borden
Pestilence
Dream Evil
Onslaught
Hail Of Bullets
The Lucifer Principle
Toxocara
State Chaos
We've seen
the shows from
Dream Evil and
Hail of Bullets from the first row
and had a great time. I must say I was
impressed by Hail of Bullets, it's no my kind of style but I liked their
show. And Dream Evil was just great! It was a good
show and loads of fun.
A view Dream Evil videos can be found
here. The sound is really bad, but
it is still great to see.

Tower of Power photos online!
Totally unexpected we
went to see the show of
Tower of Powerin Arnhem. They played in the cool venue Luxor Live,
which is (so I heard) an old movie theater.
For those
who do not know Tower of Power, a quick introduction. Tower of
Power is a famous jazz-funk-soul band from
the United States and they already exist for 42 years!! They definitely
rocked the house and everyone was full of
enthusiasm.
This time no videos, but if you search Youtube you will find many Tower
of Power videos.

Aerosmith, Sleeze Beez & Stone
Temple Pilots photos online!
It's been a while
since the amazing show of Aerosmith
here in Holland. The Aerosmith camp arrived in Holland on
June 23rd
2010. I wanted to see Aerosmith live for a long time but
didn't had the possibility before.
Support acts where Sleeze Beez and Stone Temple Pilots. Sleeze Beez
is an old Dutch glam rock formation, but they
showed that they still
rock!
I didn't know what to expect from the Stone Temple Pilots, let's say that
their show was interesting.
Aerosmith showed that they still rock!! The opened the show
with LOVE IN AN ELEVATOR, awesome!! What can I say?
It was an awesome show, I had a great place and had the night of my life!
Just check out the photos and videos.
Setlist:

May 8th 2010 Lord of the Lost, Traumtaenzer
& In Viro @ Stahlwittchen Tour,
photos online!
On Friday May 7th
Stahlmann played a show of their
Stahlwittchen tour in
the Bochumer
Matrix. Other bands during
this evening where
Lord of
the Lost,
Traumtaenzer &
In Viro. I went to Bochum especially for
Lord of the Lost. On
request I also photographed the other bands.
Traumtaenzer kicked the evening off with a short but good show. Very
shortly after this show it was time for In Viro.
They played a good
show either, but it was not really my cup of tea.
After In Viro the stage was clear for Lord of the Lost. It was great
to see the band live again, and just to focus on the
amazing show and
making photos. The band played only for an hour, but the whole
Matrix was blown away. I think it
is so great to see what the
reaction of the audience is when the band starts playing the
Lady
Gaga cover Bad
Romance.
This video shows what a cool cover
this is
The sound of the
videos is pretty fucked up, because it's recorded with a small
camera, but gives a good impression
of the night.
Lord of the Lost - Prison (new song)
Lord of the Lost - Prologue
Due to some circumstances I was not able to photograph the
Stahlmann show, better luck next time
;-).

Lord of the Lost live @ Alando Palais
On Friday, April 9th,
Lord of the Lost kicked off their “Fears
Deutschland Tour 2010”. They did that at the cool venue
“Alando
Palais” in Osnabrück. Before the show I had the chance to
interview Chris Harms, Sensai & Class from Lord of
the Lost. This interview will appear online later. During the interview
we’ve spoken about among others the debut
album “FEARS”, about upcoming shows and
about the choice of a third guitar player.
During the show it was obviously that this choice was a great one.
Letting Bo play the guitar parts from Chris makes
Chris able to only sing on stage and give a great, great performance!
The set list contained 2 new songs on which the band is working
currently, further the set list contained several songs
from “FEARS” and the cool metal cover of “Bad
Romance” from Lady Gaga.
Set list:
Dry The Rain
Epiphany
Vicious Circle
Prologue
Nothing Words Can Say
Prison
My Deepest Fear
To Die For
Never Forgive
Blind (Interlude)
‘Till Death Us Do Part
Not From This World
Bad Romance
Last Words
Break Your Heart
Sooner Or Later
This video from "Not From This World” is a
sneak preview from the several videos we’ve made from the show.
After
editing the videos (the upcoming videos have a better sound) and the
interview they will appear online, so stay
tuned for more Lord of the Lost here on
Rockpics.nl!
A big thanks goes out to Chris,
Sensai, Class,
Bo, Any en
Sebsta from Lord of the Lost for a
great evening, the
interview and a kickass show! Another thanks goes out to my mom
Marjon for filming the interview and
several songs
during the show.

On Friday, March 26th 2010,
Kamelot played the second show of their
"Pandemonium over Europe 2010" tour in 013,
Tilburg. We entered the 013 during the second support act Leaves' Eyes.
We found ourselves a great place on the
balcony so we where
guaranteed to see everything on stage.

contained some new songs from the upcoming album.

First Feuerengel 2010 photos
On Friday March 5th, Feuerengel played
at the MK Total Rock Night in the Schützehalle
in Lüdenscheid (D). MK Total
is a party weekend in the Märkischer Kreis and Lüdenscheid is a part of
the Märkischer Kreis.
Friday night was rock night and before Feuerengel the band
Die Toten Ärzte from Hamburg played
their show. This
band is playing songs from the famous German bands
Die Toten Hosen and
Die Ärzte. They played a pretty
good
show and the audience definitely enjoyed the show. But I'm convinced that
the show would make more fun when
you know the songs.
Afterwards it was finally time for the Feuerengel show. Well what can I
say? The show was super as always! The stage
looked great, the pyros where hot, the sound & lights where was good! The
set list contained one of my favorite
songs from the Rammstein album WAIDMANNS HEIL.
That song rocked!
The complete set list:
Rammlied

After the show another surprise was waiting for us and it was SNOW. At
least 25 centimeters of snow was fallen
during the time we where inside the venue.
I want to thank the guys from Feuerengel and of course their crew for a
cool show and great evening. I also want to
thank Madelon for all the fun this weekend.

February 14th 2010 Rammstein live in
Dortmund, Westfalenhallen
It's Saturday February 6th, late in the morning, when I surf to the
Rammstein website. I read
that there were extra
tickets available for 3 shows. One of these shows was the show in Dortmund. Jelle came home
that
afternoon and I asked him if he wanted to see the show again.
And of course! So we ordered the tickets and just one
day later we
drove to Dortmund.
The atmosphere outside the venue was great. We found our places
pretty fast (which was pretty extraordinary)
because everyone was
looking. We had some great places, for me they were much better
then during the
Arnhem show in December.
Combichrist opened the show before Rammstein, it will not be
my favorite band but
they where way better than in Arnhem, but the
sound in Dortmund was better.
At 9 o'clock exactly Rammstein started their show with "RAMMLIED",
this was the start of an amazingly good concert.
I saw things happen
on stage which I missed in Arnhem.
Rammstein -
Weisses Fleisch (Flake's Dance)
Rammstein - Wiener Blut
Sorry for the sound quality, videos are made with a small photo
camera.
In Germany the song "ICH TU DIR WEH"
is forbidden, because it would be to violence. Instead of this song
Rammstein
played "REIN RAUS", with the
"ICH TUH DIR WEH" act.
All I can say that is was an amazing show and finally I saw Rammstein
live as Rammstein should be! Rammstein photos
can be found
here. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ January 31st 2010
CD-Releaseparty Dream Evil & Orden Ogan
Last Friday, January 29th 2010 it was time to kick off the concert
year 2010. I did this with a CD-release show of Dream Evil. The last time I saw Dream Evil was on the Elsrock Festival
here in Holland in August 2007. On this festival I
had the opportunity to interview Dream Evil vocalist (you can read the
interview
here)
Because it was almost 3 years after my last Dream Evil show, I was
pretty exited to see the band live again and I was
hoping for some
good weather (no snow). But everything turned out fine and I managed
to convince my mom to join
me to see this show.
When we arrived in Essen at the Turock venue (which is an awesome
venue) the band Solar Fragment was playing
the last 2 songs of their
show. What I've seen and heard of this band was pretty good.
When their show ended we
found our way to first row, at the right
side of the stage.
The band
Orden Ogan started their show
shortly after we found our places. For Orden
Ogan this show was also a CD-
release show . They released
their CD "Easton Hope". I must say I was really impressed by this
band. A great
band and cool music! You must check it out for sure (surf
here to the Orden Ogan MySpace).
A short video I've shot during the Orden Ogan show (sound isn't very
good)
After Orden Ogan it was FINALLY time for the Dream Evil show. The
stage was set up pretty fast and right on time the
Dream Evil show
started! And what a show! Dream Evil kicked off the show with the
song Immortal from their new
CD "In
The Night". It was great to see the band on stage again and
they kicked ass! The set list contained some new
songs, but also
some very nice oldies!
01. Immortal
02. In The Night
03. Made Of Metal
04. Crusaders Anthem
05. Heavy Metal In The Night
06. Bang Your Head
07. In The Fires Of The Sun
08. The Chosen Ones
09. In Flames You Burn
10. Fire! Battle! In Metal!
11. United
-----------------------------------------------
12. Children Of The Night
13. Chasing The Dragon
14. The Book Of Heavy Metal
Video of "The Chosen Ones" (with crappy sound, but I was
standing almost in the speakers)
It was once again a great show! I want to thank the
Dream Evil guys
for an awesome show, the cooling down and the
photos afterwards. See
you soon again!

First 2010 update FEUERENGEL
This is the first 2010 Rockpics.nl update. In this update you can find
some photos of the Feuerengel show in
Aladin,
Bremen (D). Once again Feuerengel played a great show with a fourth song
"Haifisch" from the new Rammstein
album. We had a great time and loads of fun.
A big thanks goes out to the guys of Feuerengel and their entire crew,
thank you all for the great shows and fun the
in 2009!
Feuerengel photos can be found

photos are made with a small digital photo camera, so the quality
isn't very good.
THE
PLEASURES
In November I had the opportunity to join The Pleasures during their
"Dutch Oven Tour 2009". After their last show in
The Netherlands.... or Holland, I interviewed The Pleasures in Tilburg.
This interview is online now and can be found
here.

7th 2009 Rammstein live in the
Netherlands
On Sunday,
December 6th 2009, after waiting for 4,5 years
Rammstein returned to the Netherlands.
This thime with
their "Liebe ist für alle Da"
tour. And it was worth waiting!! After an stressed weekend
(will Rammstein play or not? The
show in Luxembourg was cancelled
due to illness) we went to the Gelredome in Arhem.
Ten minutes earlier then planned Rammstein started their show with
an great intro and "Rammlied"! Rammstein
played a lot of songs from
the new album but they didn't forget about the 'old' hits.
I can write a complete review about the show, but I won't, why not?
You should go and check out the show yourself!
In the meanwhile you
can take a sneak peak of "Haifisch"
And
the photos can be found
here. Note:
photos are made with a small digital photocamera, so the quality

Hardenberg (NL)
&
Bochum (D)
Just 5 days
after my experiences with
The Pleasures it was time to
welcome
Feuerengel back in the
Netherlands. On
Friday the 13th (oh yeah) Feuerengel played their annual show in the
venue "Podium"
in Hardenberg (NL). This show
was scheduled 5 days after
Rammstein kicked off their "Liebe
ist für alle da" tour. Feuerengel started their show with
a song from the new Rammstein album, Rammlied.
That was really awesome. In total the set list contained three
songs from the new Rammstein album. The guys from Feuerengel did a really
good job.
The Friday set list:

The day after on Saturday November 14th, we drove to Bochum (D).
This night Feuerengel would play in one of the
coolest venues "Matrix".
The "Matrix" is a big venue with different levels with disco's, bars
and a hall "The Tube" for
concerts. The Tube is a long and small hall with a round ceiling,
completly build of bricks.
The Saturday set list:

Yes, Feuerengel played the song "Pussy" twice. The audience in the Matrix
was so full of enthusiasm, and when
Feuerengel finished their set with "Stripped" the sold out venue screamed
"Waidmanns Heil". Feuerengel doesn't
play
this song yet, but decided to play Pussy again.
Hardenberg photos can be found

Then I just need to thank the Feuerengel
guys for 2 awesome shows and Jelle en

DragonForce & The New Black
photos online
Yesterday, Sunday
October 19th we went to
DragonForce in one of
the coolest venues,
Matrix in Bochum (D).
DragonForce played their during their -=Ultra
Beatdown World Tour 2009 Final Leg=-. Support act was "The
New
Black" from Germany. The New Black was an awesome support act and
if anyone knows what their website link is
please let me know!
After the show of The New Black it was time for
DragonForce.
I've seen them before on the Bospop festival in
2005,
but I forgot how good they are and how unbelievable good and funny their
live show is.
During the show everyone in the audience was blown away, the energy from
the stage was great!

25th 2009: Feuerengel live at Hotel Parkzicht,
Veendam (NL)
Last
Saturday, September 19th, Feuerengel visited our little country for
a nice show (again). This time the show was
in the small city Veendam (somewhere in the neighborhood of Groningen).
Feuerengel played in a hall of a hotel so
pyros weren't aloud this time. But no pyros means no barriers and no
barriers means more fun!
And fun we had! Feuerengel played a loud set list and managed to wake the
whole hotel and the whole audience
went crazy! Good job guys!
The set
list:
01. Tier
02. Du Hast
03. Feuer Frei
04. Laichzeit
05. Sonne
06. Bestrafe Mich
07. Benzin
08. Mein Herz Brennt
09. Sehnsucht
10. Asche Zu Asche
11. Morgenstern
12. Du Riechst So Gut
13. Links 234
14. Bück Dich
15. Ich Will
16. Amerika
17. Engel
18. Ohne Dich
And I just love "Ohne Dich", when that song
is in the set my day is made and so it was this day. Feuerengel
keyboarder
Thorsten didn't join the band during this gig, but his stand-in Sven
Harms did an amazing job!
Photos can be found
here. Feel free to write something
in the
guestbook. A big thanks goes to the
Feuerengel guys
for a great show, a funny soundcheck and an awesome
weekend. I also want to thank Madelon & Jelle for everything
that
weekend, we had a so much fun. And of course Eddy, Petra & Richard
for a cool party!
Next show planned is
DRAGONFORCE somewhere in
October in Germany!
For the first time in Holland: __________________________________________________________________________________________________
September 17th 2009: Spectaculum Infernum
photos & short gig review Last weekend, September 12th, I travelled to a
place named "Northeim",
Northeim is in Germany, about 100
kilometers under Hannover. Somewhere there in Northeim is an amphitheater
named "Waldbühne". A festival
named "Spectaculum
Infernum - aus Feuer und Stahl!" would take place
here. When I arrived at the Waldbühne it
was somewhere in the middle of the forest and when I finally
entered the amphitheater I was amazed! It looked so
cool, it was like I travelled trough time and landed somewhere in the
Middle ages, but with visitors from now.
And not to forget
Pestilenzia, this band
walked trough the whole amphitheater and played music and danced
with
the visitors. They did this between the other bands to entertain the
audience.
After meeting Anja and Florian I looked around and was totally blown away
by the Stahlmann show, what an
awesome band and what a cool show! I definitely must have their CD.
In the meantime I also met the other
Feuerengel guys and crew.
After Stahlmann it was time for Saltatio Mortis,
the guys played a good show, but it isn't my kind of band. So during
this show I explored the Waldbühne and searched for cool places to make
my photos for the Feuerengel show.
As always the Feuerengel show was very, very
good. This time with a big pyroshow. And for a change I wasn't
front row during the show. I've seen this show from everywhere at the
Waldbühne. Especially when I was somewhere
halfway the stairs of the theater I had a good view! I must say that the
Feuerengel show looked even more
impressive from further away.
The Feuerengel set list:
Tier
Feuer Frei
Sonne
Du Hast
Asche zu Asche
Morgenstern

Mein Teil
Links 2 3 4
Du Riecht So Gut
Bück Dich
Engel
Ich Will
----------------------------
Amerika
Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen
----------------------------
Hallelujah
Ohne Dich
The last band was Corvus Corax, the stage
looked pretty impressive, but unfortunately their show wasn't very
impressive. We watched a view songs but it was cold and for me a long day
so we decided to go back to the hotel.
It was an awesome festival, the photos of the bands are online and can be
seen
here.
I want to thank at the first place the organization for a cool festival ,
Stahlmann for their great show, Anja for all the
fun and some special photos. Of course a big thanks goes to Boris,
Daniel, Florian, Holger, Thorsten, Christoph and the
whole Feuerengel crew for a great day and an awesome show! And a special
thanks to Stefan for convincing me to
travel to this festival and all the fun!
September
5th 2009:
Feuerengel photos & Interview with Denied
It took a little
while but the photos from the two
Feuerengel gigs are online
now. Feuerengel played on Friday August
28th at the
Stöppelhaene Festival in Raalte
(NL) and on Saturday August 29th at the
Huntenpop Festival in Ulft.
The Stöppelhaene gig was an outdoor show and of course that day was a
rainy day. But that didn't stop anyone
from visiting the show. When Feuerengel started the whole square was
filled with audience and the band gave a
short but hard set filled with all famous Rammstein songs and fire! Note:
before Feuerengel the Dutch band "de
Heideroosjes"
played a great show, a view photos can be found in the Feuerengel
gallery.
Day 2 was a show on the famous Dutch festival Huntenpop, it was a sunny
day, so everyone was happy that today's
shows was in a tent. During this show the whole tent was full 'till the
back and the audience was blown away thanks
to a great show. The reactions have been awesome!
There is also an interview with Andreas
Carlsson (Denied) online. Click

June 21st 2009: Sonisphere
festival with Kamelot & Metallica
The line-up for every festival is different and the line-up for the Dutch Sonisphere was:
Metallica
Slipknot
Korn
Down
Lamb of God
Kamelot
Pendulum
The bands "The Sword" and "Mastodon"
where booked for this festival too, but due to several reasons they
had to
cancel their shows.
Pendulum opened the festival and well, it isn't my music, but in the meanwhile we had the chance to meet some
friends and have fun. After the Pendulum show I went to the stage and
there I watched the
Kamelot show from third
row. It was so great to finally see Kamelot live again after
one-and-a-half years. They played an awesome but short
set.
My
Sonisphere videos
After Kamelot we hung out with our friends from
ChapterOne and had loads of fun.
We watched Korn from the VIP-
deck and I must say that it was a great show. Korn
is not really my kind of band, but they played a great show.
The Metallica show was simply very, very
good. we had great places in front of the stages , approximate 20
rows
from the stage. We could see the whole stage and show with fire works.

Blackened
Creeping Death
Holier Than Thou
Harvester Of Sorrow

Broken, Beat And Scarred

June 14th 2009: Drum clinic
Casey Grillo
Last Friday, 12th, and Saturday,
June 13th,
Kamelot drummer
Casey Grillo hosted his
first drum clinics in Europe,
more specific, here in the Netherlands. I've visited one of these clinics
on Friday,
June 12th 2009. Casey gave his
clinic at
Drumstation in Eindhoven.
Casey's promotion video:
During his clinic Casey played several songs from several styles of music
and of course some Kamelot songs. He
also
told about his experiences of drumming and performing and answered
questions.
During Kamelot shows it is always very difficult to photograph Casey, so
this was for me a great opportunity. You can
check out the photos from Casey's drum clinic
here.
Next week is the
Sonisphere festival here in the
Netherlands with
Kamelot &
Metallica. That will be the
next
Rockpics.nl update, so
stay tuned! __________________________________________________________________________________________________
June 7th 2009: New Website online & Photo update
"The
Queen Spectacular"
Today is the day that the
new Rockpics.nl
website came online! Finally ;-). The reason for that is that I was
very busy
with other things and I didn’t exactly know what I wanted for the new
website. The site that I’ve made now sufficed
with my wishes. As you can see, several pages of the site are still under
construction. But the main page is totally up
and running now. The other pages will be updated in the next weeks.
Yesterday night (Saturday June 6th 2009) I went with my
parents and both brothers to
The Queen Spectacular.
The
Queen Spectacular is an “Legendary Tribute to Freddie Mercury”. During the
2 hour show the band played all the
Queen hits, including a huge show! Photos of this show are online on the
renewed
www.rockpics.nl
and can be found
here.
I’ve also uploaded a video on
YouTube
which you can check out
here.
